KOLT FACULTY LEARNING COMMUNITY ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Faculty Learning Communities (FLC) is a peer-led group of faculty members who engage in an active, collaborative, year or semester-long program, structured to provide encouragement, support, and reflection.

In 2023, KOLT formed a FLC on Artificial Intelligence consisting of various faculty members from different schools of KU with the guidance of KOLT members. For the whole academic year, KOLT FLC on AI conducted 6 online meetings and each meeting provided a platform for insightful discussions, introducing and experiencing various AI tools for educational and research purposes. Some of the AI tools that were introduced during these meetings were ChatGPT, Simplified AI, Stable Diffusion, Canva, Elicit, Consensus, and Scispace. Throughout the meetings, FLC members have explored the latest technologies and exchanged ideas harnessing the power of AI for academic and research endeavors.

KOLT invites faculty members to form new learning communities to investigate and incorporate ways to advance teaching and learning and to increase faculty collaboration across disciplines. If you are willing to form or lead a FLC on a different subject, please reach out to us at kolt@ku.edu.tr.
